Tour Plan
To start this Bangkok 5 days tour, our driver will pick you up at the airport according to your flight schedule and transfer you to your hotel. Known as the epicenter of Thailand’s culture and commerce, Bangkok is famous for its street food, shopping centers, and friendly residents, blending an abundance of history within a cosmopolitan city. Once you arrive at your hotel, you will be free for the rest of the day. You’ll have the opportunity to freshen up and relax, but with no shortage of things to see and do here, you may start exploring Bangkok city right away if you want.
The first thing you should do when you come to Bangkok is to stand on top of the Sky Train for a birds-eye view of the city or shop at Siam Paragon if you’re a fan of high-end fashion. Taking a tranquil stroll through Lumpini Park is also a good idea; you’ll see locals practicing Tai Chi and families playing here. If you’re hungry, you can try delicious meals in Bangkok’s own Chinatown. Your first day in Bangkok 5 days tour will give you a fresh look at Thai food and people.
On the second day of the Bangkok 5 days tour, our guide will pick you up in the morning to visit the Museum of Floral Culture. This is one of the most famous museums in Bangkok. Created by world-renowned Thai flower arrangement artist Sakul Intakul, the museum is a place to honor the unique artworks and flower culture of Thailand. This museum is a 100-year-old mansion located in a quiet neighborhood that is itself a work of art, with a lovely teak design and a zen-style garden. At the end of the tour, you can stop at an attached tea shop, where you can enjoy tea and sweets.
After that, you will visit Chatuchak Weekend Market, the largest market in Thailand. Here you can indulge in some shopping, find unique gifts and souvenirs, and try some delicious and unique local food at one of the many food stalls. After you’ve enjoyed all the market offers, your driver will take you back to your hotel to rest and regroup. In the evening, you’ll be taken to the Siam Niramit Show, a show with a magical mix of music and dance that celebrates the country’s history and culture. This is one of favorite activities in this 5-day Bangkok tour.
If you’re a history buff, the tour of Thailand’s famous temples and palaces on the 3rd day is a must. You’ll start with a visit to the Summer Palace, commonly referred to by Thais as the name Bang Pa-In. This is one of the few palaces in Thailand recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Here you’ll discover this impressive mix of East and West architecture dating back to the 17th century and the magnificent ruins of Ayutthaya, recalling the city’s early glory. In addition, you will have the opportunity to stroll the grounds of this monument, including Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, where you can see the giant reclining Buddha statue built of brick and mortar.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll continue to Wat Mahathat, famed for a Buddha sculpture attached to a tree trunk and surrounded by growing roots. You’ll also see the bronze Buddha of Wat Phra Mongkhon Bophit, a thrilling example of the importance of Thai spirituality. Then, you’ll visit the Royal Monastery of Wat Phra Si Samphet, famous for its three iconic stupas (temples). The day ends with a transfer back to your hotel, where you can relax after a long day or stop by a local restaurant for dinner.
On the next day of your Bangkok 5 days tour, you’ll visit the 17th-century temple of Wat Pho. Experience the monk’s early morning chanting ceremony and see the 147-foot (45-foot) Reclining Buddha. Continue your trip to the Royal Palace, an impressive complex built in 1782 by Thai King Rama I. You’ll get to see and learn first-hand about the palaces used for other occasions such as the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and most especially the mysterious Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. Besides, the costume requirements at the Palace are very strict, so you should choose the right outfit.
After lunch at a nearby riverside restaurant, it’s time for a canal boat tour or khlongs. Dubbed the “Venice of the East”, these canals will show you a more traditional side of Bangkok with its old wooden townhouses, unbelievable floating kitchens, charming and sparkling temples, and a more simple way of life. The long-tail boat tour will end with a visit to Wat Arun, a famous Buddhist temple located on the Chao Phraya River, which is a must-see when you have the opportunity to travel by boat.
The 4th day closes with a visit to the Jim Thompson House Museum. Built-in 1959, the museum is the former home of American businessman and collector Jim Thompson. He is known as the “Father of Thai Silk”. The guide will help you discover and understand more about his huge collection of fascinating artifacts, not only from Thailand but also popular in other countries in the SEA, such as Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia.
After leaving the Museum, your driver will drop you off at your hotel, where you can enjoy your last evening in Thailand.
On the last day of the Bangkok 5 days tour, you can go sightseeing in the city center and save memorable pictures. Your driver will take you to the airport for your departing flight. End of Thailand tour with safe travels home or to your next destination!
