LAOS, THAILAND, VIETNAM AND CAMBODIA – AMAZING FOUR

After breakfast at your hotel we will see some of the highlights of Luang Prabang including a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts from the Royal period in Luang Prabang. Cycling on, we are seeing the city’s oldest temples, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roof sweeping low to the ground, representing classical Lao architecture, the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

After relaxing at your hotel to let you lunch settle we will pay a late afternoon climb to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred gilded stupa and to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the sun setting over the Mekong River.

Descanting the mountain your will find yourself in the midst of the famous Luang Prabang Night Market, where you can find a unique selection of handmade textiles and handicrafts locally made by both ethnic Lao and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

This morning we drive to Khouangsi Waterfall stopping along the way to visit the

morning Phousi Market, this where all locals of Luang Prabang come to do their daily

shopping. You will see a variety of local foodstuffs and products including dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, fish, vegetables and fruit, everything needed for daily life in Laos.

On arrival at the Khouangsi Waterfall you will have the opportunity to cool off with a

refreshing swim in the topaz pools below the falls, walk along the forest trails and visit the Bear Rescue Centre.

Upon return to Luang Prabang, we board our private boat for a pleasant and scenic cruise up on the Mekong River to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. These caves are an ancient ilgrimage site and contain thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images left there over hundreds of years. Returning to Luang Prabang we disembark our boat and have the option of taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving or returning to the hotel for free time to relax.

Today, we take a flight to Vietiane. You will be transfered to airport after breakfast.

On arrival at Vientiane airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.   The rest of the day is your relaxation or exploration around the town.

This morning’s city tour. You are seeing the major temples of Vientiane including the

oldest, Wat Sisaket, with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal

temple of Wat Prakeo, which housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We also visit the national icon of Laos, That Luang Stupa, stopping along the way to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph

After lunch and time to relax we drive south from Vientiane city to see the Buddha Park, an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures set in parkland on the banks of the Mekong close to the Friendship Bridge. Here we find over 200 religious images dating back some 500 years faithfully recreated by a mysterious Biddhist monk.

Your evening is free to explore the Night Market and sample some local cuisine at one of the many restaurants the town has to offer.

Today we farewell Laos and take a flight to Bangkok (Thailand). Airport transfers are arranged for you.

Depart from hotel to Visit the Grand Palace, which has an area of 218,400 sq. metres and is surrounded by walls, was built in 1782. The length of the four walls is 1,900 metres. Enjoy visiting its golden domes, inspirational spires, exotic mural paintings, breath taking ceramic decorations. There are 12 smalls pavilions surrounding the Ubosot (Chapel). Beside that, Phra Sri Rattana Chedi is on the left, Phra Mondop (Library) is on the middle and on the right is Prasart Phra Thep Bidorn. They are situated in The Upper Terrace. Here, words cannot describe the magnificence of this most famous landmark of Bangkok. The Grand Palace, once a royal residence, is situated in the compound of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Pra Kaew), where one of the world´s most precious Buddha images is enshrined.

In the area of palace, visit Borom Phiman Mansion, Phra Maha Monthian Group, Chakri Maha Prasat Hall and Dusit Maha Prasat Hall.

Today early morning, pick  up at the hotel and then transfer to one of the most attracting floating market of Thailand namely Damnernsaduak Floating Market. There you have a chance to take a boat observing the lifestyle of local people along the small canals.

You visit not only the coconut farm and taste some coconut juice but also you will find the variety of seasonal fruits such as rumbutan, mangoes, papaya and etc. Then, we drive back to the hotel and free at leisure or shopping on your own time in the afternoon.

After breakfast take flight to the north of Thailand – Chiang Mai. Arrival in Chiang Mai, meet the tour guide and then transfer to the hotel. After that, transfer to visit Doi Suthep Temple which is one of the most sacred temples in Chiangmai – Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Located on hilltop in Northern – Thai style and containing holy relic of Lord Buddha and enjoy seeing panoramic view of the whole city. Return to the hotel and relax on own.

In the evening enjoy the famous dinner “Khantoke Dinner” or known as the northern welcome dinner including hill tribe dancing.

Morning, enjoy breakfast at hotel. We leave Hanoi for Halong bay around 8.00am. Upon arrival in Halong, embark and have delicous lunch onboard. We cruise through thousand amazing islands and islets during the lunch. After lunch, take a refresh in your room before visiting Surprising Cave, kayaking, swimming… Go back to the boat, get a drink and enjoy a sunset scenery in the bay.

Morning, breakfast on board. Cruise further and stop at a Pearl Farm village. Continue cruising through many island and islet to explore the hidden charm of the bay. Lunch on board while going back to the prier.

Hue city tour. Get a boat trip to Thien Mu Pagoda. We then continue our visit at the Citadel & Hue Royal Antiques museum. Visit Dong Ba Market and have lunch at a nearby restaurant. After lunch, visit tomb of King “Minh Mang” and Tomb of King “Khai Dinh”. Proceed our tour at a nearby village where people making incense stick and conical hat.

After that, we transfer you to Hoi An.

08:00 Our guide picks you up at your hotel and depart to My Son Sanctuary – The World Cultural Heritage. 

09:00 Arriving in My Son – the Holly land surrounded by the marvelous mountains, 48km west of Hoi An. My Son was chosen as a religious center, built in the late 4th century under the Cham’s King Bhadravaman. It is a huge religious complex with over 70 towers and temples of different architectures. We will have 2 hours to discover the site by walking throughout the landscape, learning histories with our local English speaking guide, enjoying the traditional performances of Champa People.

11:00: Get back to bus and move to a local house to learn how to make rice-paper, you will enjoy your own hand-making product later on.

11:30: Have lunch at another local house, relax with cold herbal tea,  nice foods and fresh air.

12:30: Take a boat trip to Hoi An with nice and cool breeze on boarding, beautiful river scenery on the biggest river in the Central of Vietnam named as Thu Bon River.

13:30: Arrive at Hoi An, we will drop you at your hotel.

At 8-8.30am Visit the TuolSleng Prison Museum and the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ of ChoeungEk, which will give us a deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge.  Lunch at local restaurant. We will have time this afternoon to explore PsarToul Tom Pong, also called the “Russian Market”, where anything and everything is for sales. Later this afternoon, we will take one hour boat cruise on the Mekong river.

At 8-8.30am After breakfast, proceed to Angkor Thom Area (Angkor Thom Temple South Gate, Bayon Temple, Baphuon Temple, Phimean Akas Temple, Elephants Terrace & Leper King Terrace, Royal Palace, Woman and Man Pond) Proceed to visit Ta-Prom Temple.

After lunch, continue your journey to Angkor Wat Temple – one of the seven greatest architectural wonders of the world, built in between the 9th – 13th century.  16.30pm: return to hotel.
